How It all started...

Two months ago, I was browsing through the net and exploring my options to stay fit, and decided that I should opt for running and cycling regularly to stay fit. As I am not a regular visitor to the Gym, and I don't like exercising indoors, I opted for both these options to start my workout sessions. So, I started looking for items I need to start these two activities, and bought a Nike running shoe (I will write more about running shoe selection in my next blog) and a sports bike(cycle) with Shimano 18 gears.

In the mean while Bangalore marathon event was announced, and I thought to myself that this is the best opportunity for me to start running regularly, and get involved with local athletic groups too.

So, I started running regularly and run between 3 to 5 kms on alternate days and cycle 5 kms on other days. This has helped me to stay fit, and also achieve stable running pace.

Through this blog, I will be sharing all that I have learnt in the last two months( I am still a newbe, and learning) about running and cycling. I will also write about few local groups in Bangalore, who promote these activities by conducting events on a regular basis.
